"Cyber Challenges in the Healthcare Sector 2024"
The Department of Health (DoH) is the founder of the largest healthcare facilities in the country and the issue of cyber security is a very pressing and often discussed topic. Currently, the department of health is preparing and gradually starting to implement projects not only in the field of digitalization, but also in the field of cybersecurity, which will provide other organizations in the department with methodological and also educational support.
Furthermore, it is a very urgent task of the department of Health to further intensively develop cooperation with directly managed organisations in this area and thus enable the implementation of the planned organisational and technical measures. At the same time, the department of Health should be able to offer added value to other organisations in the department in the form of support in meeting the obligations arising from the amendment to the Cyber Security Act.
Petr Foltýn
From 2006 to 2015 he worked in the management of business and technical teams in the field of outsourcing IT services. Since 2015, then as part of the management of a trading company that belonged to a holding structure that included a private medical facility. Since 2016 he has been working in this company as a sales director. At the beginning of 2018, he then took up the position of Deputy Director for IT at the Ostrava Hospital and during 2023 he worked part-time at the Ministry of Health as a consultant for computerisation projects.
Since 02/2024, he has been working at the Ministry of Health as Director of the National Centre for eHealth.
