Cybercrime - criminal complaint in practice This paper aims to show in practical terms how the process of criminal complaint in the field of cybercrime takes place. How the filing of a criminal complaint can be made, what elements should be included specifically for cybercrime. It will outline the initial process itself in relation to the expected level of effectiveness of the initial phase of law enforcement activity. Stanislav Kovárník Head of the Cybercrime Department of the Regional Police Directorate of the South Moravian Region. He has been a police officer for 23 years. He served at the Department of Economic Crime. Since 2008 he has been working at the Cybercrime Department of the Regional Police Directorate of the South Moravian Region, since 2010 is head of this Department. Since the beginning of its establishment, the Cybercrime Department has been involved in conducting criminal proceedings in the field of cybercrime. Its scope includes a complete range of fraudulent acts of a property nature, vice offences, children and other defective pornography, extortion in cyberspace and specific attacks on the very essence of computer technology.
