Brigadier General Václav Žid is Deputy Director of Military Intelligence and Director of the Technical Section. Most of his career has been focused on information technology, information security and strategic management.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU (ČVUT) with a degree in Technical Cybernetics and gained further experience abroad while studying Government Information Leadership at the National Defense University in the USA. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program and the Chief Information Officer Certificate Program there.

At Military Intelligence he is involved in building new capabilities in the Cyber and Space domains. He supports the Science, Research and Innovation program. Additionally, he advocates for the implementation of new technologies to support the achievement of the organization's mission. Last year, he contributed to the Czech Republic's chairmanship of the NATO Military Intelligence Committee.
