Miroslav Feix, The general staff of the Army

Brigadier General Miroslav Feix is the Director of the Capabilities Planning Section at the Ministry of Defence. He combines a deep interest in technology, conceptual thinking and experience in combat operations. He has spent most of his career in the Army Special Forces, for which he has developed the planning and management system in operations, participated in its transformation into a modern fighting force, and implemented a comprehensive capability development system. He gained combat experience in missions in Kosovo and Afghanistan.

Mr. Feix studied Management Theory at the Czech Military University, and he also studied abroad at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, where he focused on defense analysis with a concentration in irregular warfare and game theory. In his thesis, he developed a set of tools for solving basic game theory situations and visualizing them.

In the development of the Czech Armed Forces, he played a key role in the founding of the Information and Cyber Forces. An innovative organization using modern technologies and responding to cyber, information and hybrid threats.

Currently, he continues to develop the modern Army, and in his free time, he enjoys hiking, time with his family and sports.
