Ransomware attacks - new challenges
The presentation focuses on ransomware attacks this year. It shows selected aspects and challenges faced by those affected. It does not neglect prevention against these attacks.
After graduating from the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University, Ondřej Šrámek joined the National Cyber Security Centre at the NSA Czech Republic as a Cyber Security Expert. Subsequently, he worked as a group leader and later as the head of the Network Anomaly Hunters Department of the NCKB until he left the office. In September 2018, he joined Oracle as a Security Analyst where he was responsible for developing new detections with a focus on cloud environments. Since April 2021, he has been working at PwC as a Security Analyst where he is mainly involved in Incident Response and Forensic Analysis.
Since 2014, he has regularly participated in cyber exercises, especially Locked Shields. He is a member of the Active Reserve of the Czech Army (VeKySIO) and since 2018 he has been a lecturer of the security course at non-profit organization Czechitas.
