Cloud Security – Heading for Heaven?

This talk provides a comparative overview of how cloud security and compliance has changed and the primary drivers of those changes. I also share some directional indications of where cloud security is heading in the future, and how this should be reflected in security strategy, policy and architecture efforts. The talk is relevant to all types of cloud, private, public and hybrid.

Dennis is an Architect in the Office of the CTO at VMware, working on security innovation. He works with the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Mitre Corporation on security automation standards. Prior to joining VMware he was a Technology Strategist at RSA. He was also a co-founder and the CTO of Configuresoft and the CTO for Baylor College of Medicine. He is tenured in Computer Science and his research has been sponsored by the NASA, Caltech/JPL, the US Department of Commerce, the National Institutes of Health, AT&T Bell Laboratories and IBM.
