Marek Vrbík currently serves as a councilor for the Czech Telecommunications Office, to which he was appointed by the government.

He gained his professional experience primarily in institutions responsible for the security of the Czech Republic. 

In military intelligence, he participated in building the state's cyber defense system and led technical disciplines in a managerial role.

 Before his appointment to the Council, he served as a member of the Appeals Commission at the CTU. He served on the AFCEA Board of Directors. He is currently also a member of the CZ.NIC association.

He is the co-author of the book and project Kyberpohádky (Cyber Fairy Tales), which combines digital literacy with a playful story for children. He focuses on systemic and innovative solutions, attributing a key role to working well with people, open communication, and team synergy as tools for protecting democratic principles.

In his free time, he devotes himself to his family, sports, and art. He actively plays futsal, practices karate, and most enjoys spending time in nature.
