Lieutenant General (Ret.) Jan Beroun is a seasoned security and intelligence professional with an extensive career spanning law enforcement, intelligence, and defense. Currently serving as the Security Director at Air Navigation Services and advising the Czech National Security Advisor. He previously led the Czech Military Intelligence as Director General from 2014 to 2024. His experience includes advising the Minister of Defence, directing security consultancy at Pinkerton CR, and holding key positions at the Czech Office for Foreign Relations and Information (UZSI), including a diplomatic post in the USA. Earlier in his career, he served in the Czech Police, culminating as National Unit Director for Special Activities in criminal investigations. A graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, he furthered his expertise at the National Security Corps University and the FBI National Academy in Quantico.
