Andrea Kropáčová dedicates herself to cybersecurity since 2003, when she built up the security team CESNET – CERTS, the first CSIRT team that was established in the Czech Republic and acknowledged by the worldwide infrastructure (2004).
She used these experiences to build up the security team CIRT.CZ within the implementation of a project financed by the Ministry of the interior “The issue of cyber threats in terms of security interests of the Czech Republic”, which fulfils the role of the CSIRT team in the Czech republic and is operated by CZ.NIC since 2011, where Andrea Kropáčková worked in the role of representative of the National CSIRT from 2011 until 2015.
From 2011 to 2014 Andrea Kropáčová and her team built up a Forensic laboratory (FLAB) in CESNET, which is an expert security unit of the CESNET association. She was also part of the creation of several SW projects solved by the association and was the solver of several (inter)national projects focused on the field of cybersecurity.
Nowadays she dedicates herself to the development of security services and strategies of the
e-infrastructure CESNET. Since 2008 she fulfils the manager role in cybernetic security and represents the CESNET association in the national and international security infrastructures. She uses the knowledge and experiences acquired for educational activities.
