Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic
Lukáš Klučka comes from South Moravia and was born in Valtice. He studied Geoinformatics at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno, where he focused primarily on the spatial analysis of security risks.
After graduating, he joined the Ministry of the Interior, initially working as a project manager for strategic ICT projects. He later served as Head of Department and Deputy Director of the Project Management Office, which provided support for projects across the ministry, including those of the Police of the Czech Republic and the Fire Rescue Service. He subsequently worked at the Ministry of Defence as Director of the Department for the Management of Organisations and Subsidies, and later as Deputy Minister of Defence for Administration and Organisational Management, where he was responsible for overseeing state-owned enterprises, military hospitals, and other institutions.
After leaving public service, he joined the consulting and auditing firm Ernst & Young, where, as a manager, he focused on digital transformation and technological innovation and served as a leader for security, internal affairs, and defence. Since 2025, he has been serving as First Deputy Minister of the Interior. Since 2026, he has also held the position of Government Commissioner for Digitalisation and Strategic Security.
