Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic

Brigadier General Ing. Daniel Miklós, MPA, has served with the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic since 2003. Since 2017, he has held the position of Deputy Director General for Prevention and Civil Emergency Preparedness.

Throughout his career, he has held a number of senior management and expert positions in the fields of population protection and crisis management, including Head of the Crisis Management Unit and Director of the Population Protection and Crisis Management Department.

His work focuses on the development and implementation of public policies in the areas of security, crisis management, and civil emergency preparedness. He contributes to strategic planning and legislative processes, particularly in the field of crisis legislation, and to the development of national systems for population protection and critical infrastructure resilience.

His professional interests include systemic resilience, modern risk management approaches, and the adaptation of security systems to emerging threats, including technological and hybrid risks.
